Frozen Red Sangria
Fruity red wine sangria blended into a frozen slush with berries, orange juice and brandy.
- 10 min prep
- 2 drinks
- Wine glass
Sangria is already a party in a pitcher, and blending it with frozen fruit makes it even more refreshing on a hot afternoon. A splash of brandy gives it backbone so it doesn't taste like boozy fruit punch.
Use an inexpensive, fruity red. Expensive wine is wasted here.

- A cinnamon stick in the glass makes it fall-friendly.
Try a twist
Make white sangria with Sauvignon Blanc, peach slices and green apple.
Blender, frozen drink maker or slush machine?
These amounts are written for a standard countertop blender. In an ice-shaving frozen drink maker, put the ice in the hopper and the liquids and any fruit in the jar, then run a full cycle. In a home slush machine, which freezes the drink itself, leave out the ice, replace it with about 1 cup of cold water or juice, and pour the mixed liquid into the bowl.
